App-In Club invites YOU to join the Applied AI Crash Course, a 2-week free program designed specifically for middle and high school students. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience, this course will guide you step-by-step through the fundamentals of AI. And the best part? You’ll also earn volunteer hours while contributing to a real AI research initiative!

Complete all course tasks to receive 20 volunteer service hours, which can be recorded at your school or applied toward the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. Additionally, if you recruit new participants who complete the course, you'll receive 5 extra volunteer hours per recruit!

What You'll Learn:

Our crash course covers 4 essential areas of AI:

Class 1: Machine Learning – Saturday, 2/15, 3 PM PST
Learn how machines predict outcomes and recognize patterns.
Class 2: Deep Learning – Sunday, 2/16, 3 PM PST
Discover how neural networks, inspired by the human brain, can process images, text, and more.
Class 3: Computer Vision – Saturday, 2/22, 3 PM PST
Explore how AI can “see” and analyze visual information, like face and object recognition.
Class 4: Large Language Models – Sunday, 2/23, 3 PM PST
Understand the technology behind chatbots and AI text generators like ChatGPT!

How to Register:

📝 Important: To participate in this program and earn volunteer hours, you MUST fill out the Registration Form. Completing this form will also register you as a free member of the App-In Club, giving you access to other events, workshops, and opportunities in the future.

Once registered, you’ll receive further instructions on how to join the course, receive the class recording, and track your volunteer hours. Don’t wait—spots are limited!
